02.26.08 Innovation takes time and patience! (...and I forgot rule #1 about blogging: keep it new so people know you're still around!) Well, it's taken me several months more that anticipated to move on to BlingWiz.com (as a more practical business, BlingWiz.com will have a broader diy crafting target audience.) Managing literally every aspect has become a 24/7 a job. Plus, I'll let you in on a little secret, I'm closing my Etsy.com store(!) Wait, you say, 'you have another online store?!' Well not for long, but, it has a few items for sale. I am now opening the flood gates and am taking all bling requests and any bling tips! I hope once BlingWiz.com goes live -- look out for Blingy the BlingWiz.com mascot -- the custom Rhinestone Designer application will become a lot better a la "yin to the yang". 12.14.07 A couple weeks ago I tried to give my *new* BlingWiz.com business card to a lady with a "Merry Christmas" rhinestone t-shirt. I was at a Christmas night time parade in my down town city. She gave it back to me saying she has a son who designs them for her. (I'm guessing she applies the rhinestones and her son does the designs). I then proceeded to say, "Maybe you'd like to just try my free rhinestone design program on my web site?" She then push the card straight out and said, "I'm sorry, I charge $75/hr to make them for people." 08.28.07 I created Latina24/7 Flags! Please use them on your myspace and home pages! Thanks! URL link folder 08.24.07 You always hear about how some people are still afraid to buy on-line using their credit card. Some people think it is safer to pay with a money order or check but it's NOT. And here's my story why... It took me several years, 5 years to be exact, to feel confident again about buying online. I was on eBay and won a bid on a set of collectible Fairchild video game cartridges from the 70's. It was only $15 and decided to pay with a money order. They never arrived. The other situation involved a partial refund when I was building my first pc. I sent back a set of heat sinks that were not compatible with my computer processors only for the package to be "refused" and returned to me, twice. You see, I forgot to read the return policy on their website, and on the invoice. So, rather than send it back and wasting more money for shipping I just kept them. I eventually overcame this and got security peace of mind by using electronic payments through PayPal and my credit card. If I'm not satisfied with my purchase I don't have to wait weeks or months for a refund check in the mail. When in doubt call to verify an on-line store is for real, ask questions, look up the owner of the website by doing a "whois" domain name search: http://www.tucows.com/whois When I first started Latina247.com, in June 2005, I had to return expensive poor quality rhinestones to a supplier. I made it clear that I was mislead and the wrong item was sent. They agreed and gave me a return ID. I mailed it First Class USPS with confirmation via email. Within 24hrs of getting the USPS email confirming the package had arrived, I called them again. I had to refer to my notes of who I talked to and the details of the "nature" of their "honest" business. Within 48 hrs the charges were refunded to my credit card. We here at Lovely247.com would NEVER do this to you, even if you forget to contact us prior to sending the item, we would contact you. One thing to make you feel more confident about buying on-line is trust. Always pay through an electronic payment method. This helps build your credit rating and vendors' credit rating. Also, if too many people are dissatisfied this may affect the vendor's credit rating negatively, and, thier reputation via word of mouth, online blogs, and message boards. PS. I accept credit card payments through PayPal!
